The Science of Sleep

For people with busy lifestyles, the importance of sleep is often ignored, but the effects of not getting enough can be detrimental. Simmons.com offers information for empowering the consumer on what a good night’s sleep can do and how to get it. The site’s “Sleep Tips” section features the latest content from sleep expert James B. Maas, Ph.D., author of the book, Power Sleep, and professor of psychology at Cornell University. Here Dr. Maas explains how sleep affects an individual’s overall health and provides tips for obtaining the most restful and healthiest sleep possible.

Mattress Buying Made Easy

Simmons knows the mattress shopping experience can be confusing for consumers; therefore, the new Web site features tips to make shopping for a new bed less complicated. The site’s current library of mattress shopping guides includes A Girl’s Guide to Mattress Shopping and A Woman’s Guide to Mattress Buying, plus A Men’s Guide to Test-Driving a Mattress, A Guide to Natural Sleep and A Guide to Creating an Eco-Friendly Bedroom will be added soon. Each of the guides contains explanations of different mattress technologies, in-store tips for evaluating mattresses and advice for obtaining quality, rejuvenating sleep.

The upgraded site also has brochures about getting a good night’s sleep for everyone, from teens to seniors, couples at home and travelers on the road.

The Sleep of Your Dreams

Many consumers do not know what mattress will best fit their sleep needs, so Simmons developed the My Dream Bed quiz to help point them in the right direction. This simple online test helps put buyers’ anxieties to rest by matching an individual’s sleep needs and desires with the Simmons® mattress brand that best addresses them. Consumers answer a short series of questions regarding their sleep habits and preferences, and in a few minutes they could be well on their way to obtaining a superior night’s sleep.

Each of Simmons’ signature bedding lines is directly accessible on the Home page, with product information on the Beautyrest®, Beautyrest Black, Natural Care,
